All-in Last week, I wrote that Russia was “on the offensive and impatient” and would “act very soon.” It did, but in a way that far exceeded my expectations. I thought Russia would make a direct military intervention to secure the Lugansk and Donetsk Republics (LDPR) it had newly recognized, and
Who would have imagined that 20 months after you wrote this essay, the unvarnished evil of the US empire would be let loose in Gaza, for all the world to see. It will take some heavy lifting on our part, to rid this country---and the planet---of this monster.
Jim, I was expecting to come up with a few cavils--that you'd overlooked that the skein of post-Westphalian laws, treatises and norms had become so rotted with the absolute power of the unipolar moment by an Empire arbitrarily invoking and ignoring its own principles, that eventually a countervailing power would claw that mask of legitimacy away by force. But your 'there is no table' and if you want to bring others to the table, a new one will have to be built is well expressed. Anyway. kudos. @EmpireInWinter
Whitney Webb's latest on the CIA creating a new Nazi International, a new Al Qaeda in the heart of Europe, this time as a catspaw for a domestic (intra-Occidental) war on terror is very good.
Chewing over the deNazification agenda, in this context, I've begun to think that the real target of Russia's deNazification plan (esp. after the Nazis w/ nukes theme having emerged) is to deNazify not just Ukraine but NATO, the EU and Davos / WEF.

This is a fantastic article, saying exactly what every socialist ought to be saying - but, unfortunately, is not.
A major request: can you make your links go to the actual source articles on the web? At the moment, clicking on a link requires a sign-in to some Google app, something many of us would very much like to avoid. None of your other posts worked like this.
Second, minor point: it's John, not Walt, Mearsheimer. Mearsheimer co-wrote a book with Walt.

Excellent, in every way. Can we reprint and of course give the Polemicist credit?
Excellent piece. Many seem not to be aware that this is only the most recent front in a larger conflict. I particularly like your "there is no table" and that, in effect, without reciprocity there is no law. I raised this in a Twitter thread here: https://twitter.com/StinsonAnalytic/status/1498414609040031748?s=20&t=se5MaKSUZGJEt4jSnyFxcw
This is about the best I've read on the issue so far. Thanks. Will share in my networks.
