The UN Palestinian relief organization, UNRWA has slammed the Israeli regime for targeting it with misinformation and defamation campaigns.
In a post on X, UNRWA chief, Philippe Lazzarini said Israel is buying Google ads to deliberately spread lies about the UN agency. He added the regime is blocking donations, hurting the agency’s reputation and putting the lives of his staff at risk. Lazzarini demanded the regime stop its misinformation campaign and called for an investigation. The Hamas resistance movement slammed Israel’s measures as a criminal behavior aimed at depriving Palestinians of UNRWA’s services. UNRWA is one of the largest humanitarian agencies in Gaza and is providing humanitarian aid such as food to some 75-percent of all Gaza refugees. The agency has been repeatedly targeted politically and financially by Tel Aviv and its allies since last October.
